Eligibility Criteria

  • Nationality: Indian citizen or equivalent (as per SSC guidelines)

  • Educational Qualification: 12th pass or equivalent from a recognized board by August 21, 2025

  • Age Limit (as of August 1, 2025):

    • Grade ‘C’: 18 to 30 years

    • Grade ‘D’: 18 to 27 years

  • Age Relaxation:

    • SC/ST: 5 years, OBC: 3 years, PwD: 10–15 years, Ex-servicemen: as per rules

  • Skills: Stenography proficiency required (no shorthand certificate needed to apply)

    • General/OBC: ₹100

    • SC/ST/PwD/Ex-Servicemen/Women: Exempted

Syllabus

  • Reasoning: Analogies, coding-decoding, puzzles, blood relations

  • General Awareness: History, polity, science, current affairs

  • English: Vocabulary, grammar, comprehension, error spotting

  • Skill Test: Transcription of dictated passages on general/national topics
